Which third-party applications are supported by Apptimized?
Apptimized Care supports hundreds of commonly used third-party applications, including browsers, PDF readers, collaboration tools, and other business software. If an application is missing, you can request it from us.
How quickly are new updates available?
New updates are typically available within a few hours after they are released by the vendor. This helps reduce the period in which known vulnerabilities remain unpatched.
Can I customize application packages?
Yes. With the Customizer, you can define package names, detection rules, and configurations to meet your organization’s requirements. Your settings automatically apply to all future patches. In addition, you can implement application-specific configurations that we automatically apply to the packages.
Which operating systems are supported?
Care fully supports Windows systems. Support for macOS is planned. Integration is provided through Microsoft Intune or SCCM.
How does my IT team stay in control despite automation?
You decide which software to approve and when to roll it out. This keeps policies and compliance requirements transparent and easy to track.
Is a virus and malware scan included?
Yes, all delivered packages are scanned for viruses and malware.
Where is the data stored?
The platform is operated in a Hetzner data center in Germany. Certain cloud services are hosted in Microsoft data centers in the Netherlands. All data therefore remains within the EU and is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
I already use another patch management system - why should I switch?
Apptimized Care focuses specifically on the fast and high-quality creation of third-party application packages. Our solution runs 100% in the EU cloud. In addition, you do not need any software or local infrastructure for package creation.
Do I need to install additional software?
No. Apptimized Care is cloud-based and connects to your existing environment through connectors. You do not need any additional packaging infrastructure.
How do I get started with Apptimized patch management?
You can start with a free trial or book a demo. After setting up the connectors, you can deploy validated packages directly from the portal.
What happens if a patch causes issues?
Care tests every application in a clean environment before deployment. If an individual issue still occurs, our support team is available to help quickly and provide rollback options.
Which package formats and architectures are provided?
The packages are created using the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) and provided as IntuneWin packages for Microsoft Intune. When available, both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the application are supported.
What if my application is complex, highly customized, or requires specific configurations?
For complex applications with specific requirements, Apptimized offers additional packaging services.
